Definizione e utilizzo

La proprietà metaKey restituisce un valore booleano che indica se il tasto "META" è stato premuto o meno quando è stato attivato un evento chiave.

Non tutte le tastiere hanno la chiave meta. È comune per le tastiere del microsistema Sun e le tastiere per macchine MIT e LISP. La chiave meta è etichettata come "META" o contrassegnata dal simbolo "◆" di un diamante pieno.

Sulle tastiere Mac, il tasto META è rappresentato dal tasto "Comando/Cmd" ("⌘").

Nota: questa proprietà è di sola lettura.
