PHP ha un insieme di parole chiave che sono parole riservate che non possono essere utilizzate come nomi di funzioni, nomi di classi o nomi di metodi. Prima di PHP 7, anche queste parole chiave non potevano essere utilizzate come nomi di proprietà di classe:
